Difficult to find especially at this price! A hank 15 meters, slightly more than 16 yards long of hand plaited (braided) Rustic Plait. This is the 4-end pattern.
Made from whole straw in China one of the last commercial centers for this hand work.
Approximately 1/2 inch or 13mm wide.
Perfect for basket makers, milliners, and straw artists! One hank will be enough to make one small brim lady’s hat or a basket, or mats. Wheat Weavers may wish to use this plait for decorative trimming to their work. Before working this plait dampen slightly (wrap in damp cloth). Do not soak.
