Each hank is 15 meters, slightly more than 16 yards, of hand plaited/braided Batwing plait made in China. Of the 2 Batwing plaits we offer, this hank is the NARROWER of the 2 sizes at 18 to 20mm (0.70-0.79″) wide. The Wider Batwing plait is here should you like both sizes.
One hank will make a small brim lady’s hat, or decorate a brim edge. For Wheat Weavers this plait is great for adding detail to your figurative work, especially angel wings. Basketmakers can use this plait to stitch into a basket or to weave between basket stakes for an striking effect.
Damp before use by wrapping in a damp towel. Do not soak.
Mixing how you show them will add texture. Did you know that you can use either side of a Batwing plait?
