Our Chinese Plait, known as 7-end, is 3/4 inch wide (19 mm) and is approximately 10 yards (9 m) in length. Please note that this hank is a shorter length than the other types of plait offered by The Straw Shop.
What makes this plait even more special is that the joins are made in the center or body of the plait and this means the edges are much stronger. It is ideal for basket makers to weave into various structures. Milliners will enjoy this versatile plait for trimmings, and its historical history makes it suitable for recreated period hats.
